We’re still open for business

UPDATE 3/23: The governor has placed Washington under a “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, except for businesses considered essential. Eco Movers is part of the sector considered an essential service, and will remain open for business as usual.

Original post: As customers have called in concerned about possible cancellations due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve always said the same thing: unless we’re specifically told to shut down, we’re committed to staying open as long as it’s safe for our clients and crew.

Yesterday we got some good news from our local government. In the event of a shelter-in-place order, we would be classified as an “essential service” and allowed to remain in operation. This news came from the Washington Movers Conference, our industry’s trade association.

Translation: we’re not looking at an industry-wide closure like bars and restaurants, and there’s no chance your move could be cancelled due to a government shelter-in-place order.

Since our last post on coronavirus safety measures, we’ve added a few new policies.

  1. All our trucks are now sanitized twice per day
  2. Crews will be equipped with gloves
  3. We’ll be putting all post-delivery haul-away services on hold
  4. The office team is adding flexibility to handle more after-hours requests

We appreciate your patience as this crisis unfolds. We’re happy to talk over questions and concerns — just give us a call.
